🚨 Trade Finance Officer | London | International Bank | Up to £60,000 + Benefits 🚨
We are partnering with a well-established international bank in London that is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Officer to join its growing Trade Finance Operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trade finance professional with strong operational expertise across letters of credit, guarantees, documentary collections and trade loans, looking to develop their career within an international banking environment.
🔹 The Role
You will provide professional and operational support across the full trade finance processing function, ensuring transactions are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with ICC rules, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key responsibilities include:
• First checking of documents presented under Letters of Credit
• Advising, amending and processing Letters of Credit and Guarantees
• Processing trade finance payments and accounting entries
• Preparing and transmitting SWIFT messages (700 and 400 series)
• Managing inward and outward Documentary Collections
• Maintaining transaction registers and exposure reconciliations
• Conducting AML and transaction due diligence checks
• Liaising with customers and beneficiaries regarding discrepancies and trade finance transactions
• Supporting the Head of Trade Finance and Senior Trade Finance Officer with day-to-day operations
🔹 Requirements
• Minimum 5 years' trade finance experience within an international bank
• Strong experience in issuance, advising, amendment and payment of Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees
• Good working knowledge of ICC rules including UCP 600, URC 522, URDG 758 and related trade finance regulations
• Experience conducting AML and transactional due diligence
• Knowledge of trade finance accounting and exposure monitoring
• Proficiency in SWIFT, Equation, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to communicate confidently with customers, beneficiaries and counterparties
• CDCS qualification desirable
