Social Worker / AMHP Wandsworth

Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent opportunity for a Social Worker / AMHP to join Wandsworth Council. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive team while making a tangible impact on residents lives.
Main Duties Work within the Care Act 2014 and other statutory frameworks, maintaining professional standards and developing core skills in collaboration with your line manager.
Apply Social Work principles and values to practice, reflecting corporate values in all interactions with residents, colleagues, and partners.
Participate fully in supervision, applying critical reflection to inform professional decisions, ensuring risks are discussed with your line manager.
Manage a reasonable caseload appropriate to experience, ensuring consistent throughput and quality of work.
Provide guidance and advice on social care to assessors, students, and partners.
Work directly with residents, families, and carers to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
Provide timely information on care and support plans, service provision, and charging arrangements.
Monitor and review packages of care, including funding arrangements, to meet needs and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate, clear, and confidential case records in line with data protection and departmental policies.
Handle complex cases, conduct legally compliant assessments, navigate challenging conversations, and demonstrate resilience.
Requirements Recognised Social Work qualification or equivalent.
Understanding of relevant legislation.
Registered or eligible for registration.
