Who You Are You are an experienced social worker with significant experience working with children and families. You possess a thorough understanding of social work theories and practice, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. You have a professional qualification in social work and a current Social Work England Registration. You are committed to promoting the welfare of the most vulnerable children and young people and are able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. What the Job Involves As a social worker in the Children’s Services department, you will work in partnership with children and families to address their social, emotional, and environmental needs. You will be responsible for assessing risks and needs for vulnerable children and coordinating services to improve their quality of life. Your activities will include working independently with legislation and policy, attending and contributing to meetings, maintaining accurate records, and participating in training for continued professional development. You may be required to represent the Authority in court and engage with a variety of external partners to facilitate the best possible outcomes for children and families.
