Job Description
3. Manage the company's financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
4. Create annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and multi-year financial models
5. Provide financial insights to support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
6. Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
7. Prepare and deliver detailed management reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and dashboard metrics
8. Collaborate with business units to optimise financial outcomes and drive accountability
9. Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing financial guidance for strategic initiatives and decision-making
10. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and potential M&A activities
11. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial implications are considered in business strategies
12. Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team and across departments
13. Ensure continuous improvement of FP&A tools, processes, and methodologies
14. Enhance financial planning systems and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy
15. Leverage business intelligence and analytics platforms to deliver real-time insights
16. Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability
17. Monitor and manage financial risks
The Successful Applicant
18. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
19. Demonstrable experience in financial planning and analysis or corporate finance
20. Able to operate effectively in both SME / high growth environments
21. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analytics
22. Strong knowledge of FP&A tools and ERP systems
23. Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
24. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
25. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
26. Utilities / Financial Services / renewable energy sector awareness is desireable but not essential
