South Tees Physiotherapy Department is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our Band 5 Rotations across South Tees NHS Trust. The post holders will be employed as a Rotational Physiotherapists and will have the opportunity to advance their knowledge and experience on one of the following rotations:
Cardiothoracics Neurology, Surgery and Rehabilitation
Critical Care Stroke Rehabilitation
Acute Medicine Surgery
Orthopaedics Older Persons Medicine
Spinal Injuries Musculoskeletal Gym
Out-patient Treatment Units Primary Care Hospitals Pulmonary Rehabilitation Paediatrics Urgent Community Response Community Therapies Front of House Therapies Vascular Surgery and Amputees

Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will be supported and receive all the training that would apply to full time, permanent staff. The James Cook University Hospital, Friarage Hospital and the community hospitals and services within South Tees, all have well-established, large, progressive and dynamic Physiotherapy Services that continue to develop and grow with the Trust.
The therapy team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from Senior Physiotherapists and Therapy Service Leads.
This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills. We have a comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops and clinical supervision. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research.
This post is suitable for qualified physiotherapists (or those soon to be qualified) who are motivated and keen to develop their skills as a graduate and gain experience across a wide area of clinical practice.

Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Excellent interpersonal, communication and active listening skills.
2. Ability to adopt appropriate styles and methods of communication.
3. Time-keeping, planning and prioritisation skills. Basic IT skills to use electronic patient records and other Trust systems
4. Analytical and judgement skills to make decisions based on patient /service user interactions and observations and metrics when dealing with the Physiotherapy management of clients.
5. Working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision.
6. Ability to demonstrate the importance of holistic person-centred care and related procedures.
7. Understanding of the importance of robust, accurate, clear, timely documentation.
8. Knowledge of Safeguarding.
9. Awareness of GDPR and the need for confidentiality
Experience
Essential criteria
10. Good understanding of the structure, policies, priorities and format of the NHS
11. Evidence of MDT working
12. Experience of working in the NHS Experience and of working with patients with respiratory conditions

14. To hold a degree or relevant Diploma in Physiotherapy
