Our client is a reputable highways contractor delivering key infrastructure improvements across Yorkshire. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to provide holiday cover across multiple live sites for a 2-week period.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will support ongoing highway projects with a focus on drainage works, ensuring site activities run smoothly and in accordance with design specifications and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Setting out and surveying for highway and drainage works
·Working closely with site management and subcontractors to coordinate daily operations
·Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy
·Ensuring work complies with project specifications and safety regulations
·Recording and reporting progress to senior engineers or project managers
·Managing quality control and documentation on site
Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer within highways/infrastructure projects
·Strong understanding and hands-on experience with drainage
·Proficient with setting out tools (e.g., GPS, total station)
·Valid CSCS card (essential)
·SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
·Full UK driving licence and own transport (role involves travel across multiple sites in Yorkshire)
