Overview
This is an opportunity to be part of a high-performing litigation team, combining technical legal work with people leadership, strategic input, and career development responsibilities.
Working across a broad range of personal injury, motor, EL/PL and related claims, you'll be entrusted with managing complex and high-value matters while leading a team of solicitors to deliver exceptional results for clients.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading, mentoring and developing a team of solicitors
* Managing a caseload of complex and litigated claims
* Providing technical guidance on liability, causation and quantum issues
* Conducting hearings and overseeing cases through the Scottish courts
* Reviewing and approving legal documentation and pleadings
* Driving quality standards, compliance and best practice across the team
* Building strong relationships with clients, insurers, experts and stakeholders
* Supporting business growth initiatives and operational improvements
What We're Looking For
* Scottish qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE
* Strong background in civil litigation, personal injury, insurance litigation or motor claims
* Experience appearing in the Sheriff Court and a sound understanding of Scottish court procedures
* Excellent drafting, negotiation and client management skills
* A natural leader with experience supervising, coaching or mentoring others
* Commercial awareness and a focus on achieving positive outcomes for clients and the business
