Job Description
The Quality / Calibration Engineer will provide leadership and be responsible for day-to-day management and implementation of Calibrated Equipment and it’s System in line with key Aerospace requirements, fundamentally focusing around EN_9100 and traceability to National & International Standards.Key Responsibilities
* Maintain calibrated equipment across the business, managing both internal and external calibration requirements.
* Maintain QMS requirements in line with ongoing standard expectations (AS9100 and customer flow-down requirements).
* Prepare and organise internal audits, including NCR closure.
* Support customer requirements for annual audit activities.
* Adhere to company health and safety requirements and complete all required training.
* Process supplier and customer returns for non-conforming items.
* Promote performance improvement activities and quality assurance programs throughout the company.
* Identify and implement corrective and preventative actions.
* Carry out problem-solving activities within production.
* Identify and investigate trends from internal failure modes.
* Ensure QA activities and priorities are met to achieve on-time delivery (internally and externally).
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a professional and consistent working environment.
* Work flexibly, including potential travel between sites or customer locations, depending on business needs.
* Communicate directly with customer quality representatives when investigating complaints.
* Support and adapt to changes in standards, policies, processes, and products.
Skills and Qualifications / Experience
* Calibration experience (practical knowledge and understanding).
* Strong understanding of EN 9100 requirements (minimum 3 years’ experience).
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
