Responsibilities
* Prepare patients' details
* Conduct preliminary tests / use screening equipment- training provided (and it's easy to use equipment)
* Maintain and organise shop floor/ laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools are clean and in good working order.
* Provide guidance to patients on eyewear options, including frames and lenses, based on their needs.
* Manage inventory of optical supplies and materials, placing orders as necessary.
* Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially in compliance with data protection regulations.
* Educate patients on proper care for their eyewear and contact lenses.
Requirements
* Previous experience in an optical setting is preferred but not mandatory; however, laboratory experience is highly desirable.
* Empathetic, Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using optical equipment and technology is beneficial but training will be provided for the right candidate.
