Junior Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting financial reporting, analysis, and control processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Revenue & Cost Accounting
* Revenue recognition (Rev Rec) and revenue accruals
* Cost accruals and recognition, ensuring timely and accurate postings
* Work-in-progress (WIP) and accruals management
General Ledger & Financial Control
* Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register
* Posting and managing prepayments
* Preparing royalty deductions, rebates, and other related adjustments
* Balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
P&L Ownership & Reporting
* Taking ownership of smaller P&Ls and supporting month-end close
* Partnering with budget holders to manage and review P&L performance
* Supporting management accounts preparation and variance analysis
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement
* Collaborating with business leaders to provide financial insight and guidance
* Supporting decision-making with accurate financial data and commentary
Systems & Process Management
* Demonstrating strong adaptability with various accounting and reporting systems
* Assisting with process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
Skills & Experience
* Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
* Previous experience in an accounting/finance role (ideally within professional services or similar industry)
* Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and management accounts processes
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Excel and adaptability to new financial systems
* Confident communicator with the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders
