Therole
As a FitterTechnician you will be responsible for maintainingFugro plant and carry out the manufacture of new build equipment inour Falmouth Hub Workshop, ensuring all plant is fit for purposeand HSSEQ issues are eliminated, and any site down time isreduced.
The Fitter role requires you to react tosite breakdowns, provide technical problem-solving solutions tosite personnel, identify, and report any defects likely to lead tomajor breakdowns. As a fitter you will also assess the performanceand condition of plant and machinery, checking for wear and tearand identifying potential breakdown and report to supervisor/charge hand.
You will be working closely withthe supervisor to complete reports to ensure all progress,downtime, plant, and equipment defects are correctlyrecorded.
Who we're lookingfor:
As a Fitter Technician youhave in-depth knowledge/experience of hydraulics and mechanics ofnew and existing marine/ agricultural/ industrial equipment andplant. You can read drawings and follow work instructions andcommunicate with team members. You have a minimum of 3 GSCS'sincluding Maths, English at C grade and above, or similarqualification/experience.
You can demonstrateexperience of complete overhauls to fault finding on a wide varietyof plant such as pumps, winches, hydraulic cranes, HPU's oragricultural equipment. A CSCS card, experience or licensed with aForklift, First Aider, Slinger/Signaller experience/Certificationsare desirable but notessential.
