Health & Safety consultancy Job Description
You will work with clients across various sectors within your designated area, providing expert health and safety advice to ensure compliance with UK legislation. You should possess a strong H&S background, relevant experience, appropriate technical and professional qualifications, and a confident knowledge of industry standards and codes of practice. You will support employers with practical, commercial health and safety advice tailored to their industry sectors. Key Responsibilities
Identify gaps in clients' health and safety management, produce audit reports, and develop action plans. Follow up with clients to review progress and provide ongoing support. Establish and support tailored Safety Management Systems to ensure ongoing compliance. Conduct fire risk assessments as needed. Build and maintain relationships with clients. Contribute to developing new services, including training and fire risk assessments. Support clients with health and safety standards and best practices. Provide regular feedback and record interactions in the CRM system. Act as an out-of-hours H&S advisor on a rotation basis via our 24/7 helpline. Identify new business opportunities and coordinate quotations. Coordinate with other departments as required. Qualifications & Experience
You should have a strong H&S background, with relevant qualifications and knowledge of industry standards. Preferred qualifications include: Chartered IOSH (CMIOSH) NEBOSH Diploma ISO45001 Lead Auditor Accredited IOSH Trainer Fire safety qualification (Certificate or Diploma) is essential; other specialisms like environmental or DSEAR are desirable. Minimum requirements include: NEBOSH General/NCRQ/NVQ Level 3 qualification Working towards or holding TechIOSH/Chartered status Relevant fire safety qualification (NEBOSH Fire Certificate/Diploma) At least two years frontline H&S experience Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and H&S auditing software Must Haves
