The Role
* To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
* Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
* Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
* Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.
* Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.

What we’ll need you to bring
* HNC in healthcare, education or social care or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
* Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
* Full driving licence holder.
* Knowledge and Skills
* Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
* Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
* Basic assessment skills.
* Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Time management, planning and organisational skills.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
* Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
* Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
* Static community post, car owner essential
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Additional preferred qualifications
* Breadth of experience of therapy or rehabilitation /re-ablement in a health, education or social care environment
Contract details
Contract type: Permanent
Full time: 37 hours
Location and working pattern: This role will be based in Hamilton ICST within Larkhall Health Institute. The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday days.
