Freelance General Foreman – Reservoir Upgrade Projects (Scottish Borders)

We’re supporting a major civil engineering contractor delivering a long pipeline of reservoir access upgrade works across the Scottish Borders, and they’re looking to bring in an experienced Freelance General Foreman to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
The Projects
You’ll be working on reservoir access upgrade schemes involving:
New access roads and small bridges
Earthworks and concrete works
Crane pads and plant platforms
General civils
What You’ll Be Doing
Supervising all site activities and labour
Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safe, efficient delivery
Managing daily records and reporting (tablet‑based systems)
Supporting the Site Agent/Sub‑Agent with quality, progress, and compliance
Ensuring works are delivered to programme and specification
What We’re Looking For
Strong background as a General Foreman on civil engineering projects
Experience with earthworks, concrete, access roads, or similar civils
Valid CSCS (Gold/Black preferred)
Comfortable using digital systems for daily reporting
