The Opportunity
Were working with a forward-thinking organisation where technology is seen as a true business enabler, not just a support function. Supporting a large, multi-site workforce of around 5,000 users, their Technology Services team plays a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.
This is an environment where youll have real ownership of systems, particularly across a modern Microsoft estate, including Dynamics and wider workplace technologies. Rather than simply maintaining systems, youll be empowered to improve, innovate, and influence how technology evolves within the business.
The Role
As a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer, youll take on a senior technical position, acting as the escalation point for complex issues while playing a key role in driving continuous improvement across the IT landscape.
This is a varied role balancing hands-on troubleshooting with project involvement and system optimisation. Youll also work closely with stakeholders across the business, translating technical challenges into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert 3rd line support across infrastructure, systems, and applications
Act as the final escalation point for high-impact or complex incidents
Diagnose and resolve root causes, not just surface-level issues
Contribute to problem management and continuous service improvement
Support and mentor 1st and 2nd Line Engineers
Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT services with business needs
Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and new technologies
Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and well-documented
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in a 3rd Line or senior IT support role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft modern workplace technologies
Solid understanding of networks, servers, and enterprise systems
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Strong communication skills- able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK
