We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Curriculum Support Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be passionate, empathetic, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, serving as the key contact for high-needs students. Experience working with students with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential.
The role involves liaising with Curriculum Heads of Department and Learner Support Assistants to ensure support needs are understood and met, advising on reasonable adjustments for inclusive teaching, and providing effective line management for a team of Learner Support Assistants, including managing sickness, timetabling, performance, training, and conducting PDRs.
Essential requirements:
* Experience and knowledge of staff management or willingness to undertake training
* Computer literacy
* Level 2 qualification (GCSE A*-C or equivalent) in English and maths or willingness to attain within a set timeframe
* Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties/disabilities
* Effective communication skills with vulnerable adults and young people with special needs
* Ability to assist in delivering Individual Learning Plans and maintaining student records
* Possession or willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
