We are working with an excellent law firm located in Harrogate who are now seeking a Billing Assistant to join our Finance Team in Harrogate on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in invoice processing or sales ledger who enjoys working accurately, efficiently, and as part of a team.
About the Role
You will play an active role in ensuring our billing processes run smoothly and efficiently. Each member of our billing team is responsible for a specific office, but you'll also be familiar with procedures across the firm so you can provide cover where needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately produce and issue bills in line with agreed deadlines and procedures
* Ensure bills are approved by the relevant fee-earner/partner before dispatch
* Deal promptly and professionally with any billing-related queries
* Process authorised time transfers and write-offs accurately
* Respond to client and staff queries relating to billing
* Provide support to the Finance Team on general accounting tasks as required
What We're Looking For
* Previous accounts experience in processing invoices or working with sales ledger
* Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel (knowledge of Aderant is an advantage but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* A professional, proactive, and team-focused approach
