We are working with an organisation based in Northampton that operates across multiple international markets. The business is expanding its finance team and is seeking a Credit Controller to support its continued growth. This is a hybrid position offering a professional, flexible, and supportive working environment.
Your new role
1. Managing customer accounts: Building strong relationships with clients, monitoring account activity, and ensuring timely payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
2. Chasing outstanding payments: Proactively following up on overdue invoices via phone and email, resolving queries, and negotiating payment plans where necessary.
3. Handling multi-currency transactions: Supporting international operations by managing accounts in various currencies, including EUR and USD, and ensuring accuracy in reconciliations.
4. Working full-time with flexible hours: Standard hours are 8:30am–5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Flexibility is offered to support work-life balance.
5. Hybrid working model: Typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with the option to increase office presence if preferred.
6. Structured onboarding and training: You’ll receive full training upon joining to ensure a smooth transition into the role and the team.

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
7. Previous experience in credit control or finance, with a solid understanding of account management and debt recovery processes.
8. Exposure to multi-currency environments is highly desirable, especially if you’ve worked in European or North American markets.
9. Relevant qualifications such as AAT Level 4 or CICM are preferred but not essential—experience and attitude are equally valued.
10. Strongmunication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues professionally.
11. Attention to detail and a proactive mindset, ensuring accuracy in financial records and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
