About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team on the HS2 infrastructure project, one of the UK s largest and most complex construction schemes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical installation and maintenance works in accordance with HS2 standards, site procedures, and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical installation, testing, and maintenance works across HS2 construction sites
* Work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary site gang
* Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and method statements
* Install containment systems, cabling, lighting, power supplies, and associated equipment
* Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations, HS2 specifications, and site safety requirements
* Identify and report defects, hazards, or non-conformances
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and site professionalism
* Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site
About the Candidate
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrician on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
* Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and site safety procedures
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Confident working from technical drawings and plans
Competencies & Certifications (One Required)
* JIB Electrotechnical Certification
OR
* ECS Gold Card or ECS White/Brown Card
OR
* CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Previous experience working on HS2 or major infrastructure projects
* IPAF / PASMA
* Knowledge of rail or tunnel environments
