We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist to join our dynamic and forward‑thinking team at Kettering General Hospital. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our breast multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on cross‑sectional imaging and oncology care, and will be part of a collaborative environment where innovation, patient‑centred care, and professional development are highly valued.
Responsibilities
* Play a key role within the well‑established Breast Multidisciplinary Team to deliver symptomatic and assessment clinics, cross‑sectional imaging and oncology case management.
* Be supported by an experienced and cohesive clinical and managerial team, including the Breast Screening Programme Manager, Advanced Practitioners and Consultant Radiographers, to deliver excellence in breast care.
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement of the service through participation in Screening Quality Assurance meetings, formal QA reviews and Programme Management Board discussions, focussing on service performance and quality outcomes.
* Work within the purpose‑built, integrated Breast Care Unit that offers screening and symptomatic breast imaging services for a population of over 55,000 women, consistently meeting NHSBSP key performance indicators.
About the Service
The breast surgery service consists of a team of four highly skilled Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons delivering seven 2‑week wait symptomatic referral clinics per week, ensuring timely, coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
