The Role
The Commercial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the commercial operations of Molson Equipment Services. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing and equipment data, supporting the sales process, and delivering insightful analysis to inform strategic decisions. The role requires close collaboration with the Sales Administration, Sales and Procurement teams to ensure customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and commercial success across the business.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain and update the sales quoting system, including pricing data, equipment specifications, and availability reports. Resolve pricing-related queries.
Assist the sales team, Head of Commercial and Directors with deal costings and tender submissions.
Support the end-to-end equipment stock ordering process—completing and presenting stock analysis to senior team.
Act as the primary contact for suppliers regarding stock availability, equipment specification and cost inquiries.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date equipment records in the ERP system, collaborating with sales support and logistics teams.
Monitor equipment allocations to ensure alignment with deal requirements.
Compile and submit equipment sales data to suppliers. Develop reports to support strategic decision-making.
Conduct analysis on equipment data, stock levels, and sales trends as needed.
Collaborate with Senior team and the sales team to manage key accounts, ensuring smooth order processing, issue resolution, invoicing, and stakeholder communication.
Maintain records of Manufacture support and incentives and proactively manage support programmes.
Ad-Hoc analysis to support the commercial requirements of the business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Sales Administration Team:
The Commercial Analyst will work closely with the Sales Administration Team to support them to:
Support Sales Managers throughout the customer journey.
Ensure accurate ERP updates, job sheet generation, and documentation.
Coordinate machine swaps, workshop prep, and dispatch readiness.
Maintain accurate reporting and customer communication.
Manage parts and equipment records, including purchase orders and invoicing.
Procurement Team
The Commercial Analyst will also collaborate with the Procurement Team to support them to:
Align procurement strategies with commercial forecasts and customer demand.
Monitor supplier performance and support sourcing decisions.
Ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts and materials.
Track procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain compliance and accurate procurement documentation.
Skills And Attributes
Essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with video conferencing tools.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Desirable
Prior experience in a similar commercial or analytical role.
Familiarity with plant and machinery is advantageous but not essential.
Experience with ERP/CRM systems and Power BI is a plus.

Education Requirements
Recently qualified AAT (Level 2-4) with a commercial focus or equivalent experience, (desirable but not essential).
