The Council’s Housing Division provides management and maintenance services for 2500 tenancies and for private sector tenants. Our teams aim to achieve excellent customer service for our customers. Our recent Tenant Satisfaction Measures indicate good progress in this aim. The Housing Services Manager provides strategic leadership and operational direction for our housing options services, housing management team and private sector housing service. We are seeking an experienced, qualified professional to support front line teams to deliver our housing management and private sector housing services so that they are efficient, provide high standards of customer care and meet all regulatory requirements. Applicants should be able to demonstrate acumen and experience in producing strategies and policies and performance frameworks that ensure their delivery. They must be able to show an ability to manage a team that provides a range of frontline services so that they perform well. Working closely with tenants to provide clear and meaningful involvement and engagement is a critical part of this role. Excellent communication skills are essential. Applicants must have experience of delivering housing services to a range of service users and a working knowledge of the Housing Regulator’s Consumer Standards. They must also have a relevant housing qualification and be able to show their understanding of housing regulations and legislation as well good practice.
