Role: Self-Employed Fire Door Inspector (Outside IR35)
Location: Central London - High-Rise Commercial Office Block
Start Date: 22/09/2025
Duration: Approx. 5 weeks (with follow-on projects available)
Day Rate: £280 - £300 per day (8 hours) depending on experience
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, self-employed Fire Door Inspector to join a compliance project in Central London. You will be carrying out intrusive fire door surveys on over 200 doors across a high-rise commercial office block, using the client's Bolster inspection system on your own device.
This is an outside IR35 engagement, ideal for a freelance contractor with proven fire door inspection experience.
Responsibilities
Carry out intrusive fire door surveys in line with industry standards.
Record inspection findings using the Bolster software system (on your own device).
Work independently and accurately across 200+ fire doors.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications.
Provide professional advice on remedial actions and follow-up works.
Requirements
Fire Door Inspection Certification (mandatory).
Demonstrable experience carrying out intrusive surveys on fire doors (commercial/office/high-rise).
Own device suitable for Bolster app/system.
Strong knowledge of fire door standards, regulations and compliance requirements.
Able to provide certificates and references from previous clients/projects.
Right to work in the UK.
