Your role will be to provide assistance helping her to build essential communication skills, encouraging social interaction and develop confidence and independence as a young adult. This will mainly be to take my daughter out to places like the cinema, shopping or the zoo, to social activities locally or to play games, cook etc. in our house. She is mobile and able to take care of her own personal hygiene. She wishes to be more independent in social situations, make friends and to access activities/visit places more confidently outside of home.
She needs someone who is a positive mentor and can offer guidance and support but also make it fun. The right person will be able to build a secure connection, see how she masks to be around others and show understanding. Being a calming friend and advocate as well as a role model, to actively encourage a positive mindset and develop her self-esteem.
We’d love to hear from you if you thrive on helping others, are proactive, engaging and adaptable to learn the needs and interests of my daughter to help her flourish and gain confidence and independence.
