Senior Accountant, Inventory - 12 month FTC

Based in our Queen Street, Leeds office for a minimum of 3 days per week. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

* Support the Finance Manager to service functional and entity-specific shared service requirements.
* Deliver services including GRIR, IC clearing, budgeting, business partnering, and project support.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Finance, Group Finance, Central Planning, IT, Internal/External Audit, Project teams) and oversee change management to ensure service delivery.
* Provide end-to-end accounting process ownership and performance.
* Produce key reports and outputs to support decision making.
* Act as escalation point for customer complaints, service failures, or adherence issues.
* Respond to ad hoc queries and analyses, prioritising work to respond in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with process owners and team leads to understand root causes and represent processes, procedures, and exceptions.
* Ensure compliance with Group Policies and internal controls over financial reporting.
* Work with FP&A and commercial finance on key judgements, including robust forecasting.
* Facilitate ad hoc inventory projects and assist in designing, developing, embedding, and documenting inventory processes.
* Stay abreast of best practices in inventory accounting, technology, and methodologies and implement where possible.
* Gather feedback from stakeholders and the delivery team to improve future service delivery.
* Support the RTR and other functions with the design and build of processes for broader business changes.


Qualifications / Personal Profile

* Professional accounting qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA) or finalist.
* Experience in a commercial environment with an international perspective.
* Ability to operate at both tactical and detailed levels; strong conceptual thinking and ability to address future challenges in ambiguous environments.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Proven ability to influence a range of stakeholders across operational issues.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility and collaboration across functions.
* Tech-savvy with an affinity for using technology to drive efficiencies and service delivery.
* Experience working with IT systems and processes – SAP knowledge is a plus.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder management capability.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
