What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our systems engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Establishing IV&V Infrastructure: Create and implement effective ways of working to support the full V-model lifecycle.
*
Delivering V-model Processes: Set up and manage left-hand-side V-model processes, ensuring robust design, integration, and configuration.
*
Supporting Integration Activities: Resolve cross-discipline conflicts and meet contractual requirements during system and product integration.
*
Defining V&V Activities: Assure activities and outputs, providing evidence to substantiate design across the lifecycle.
*
Driving Collaboration: Work closely with systems engineering teams to coordinate integration delivery and ensure cross-engineering assurance.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Experience in the installation, configuration, and testing of Category 3 systems and equipment.
* Hands-on involvement in testing and trial activities, including preparation, execution, and review.
* Strong fault investigation and resolution skills within multi-faceted systems.
* HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience in a similar environment.
Desirable:
* Background in defence, naval, or IT environments.
* Experience in commissioning activities, especially within advanced or safety-critical systems.

About the SSNA – Platform Complex Systems Team
The Platform Complex Systems (PCS) team is at the heart of the SSNA programme, responsible for establishing IV&V infrastructure and defining V-model processes. We work closely with stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges and ensure seamless integration of major systems. As a growing capability, PCS offers strong development opportunities, cross-programme exposure, and support toward chartership while directly contributing to the delivery of complex platform systems. Relocation support packages are available for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
