Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our team and work across Gledholt and Gledholt Mews and Coach House.
Gledholt is an enhanced community residential service providing outcome‑focused support for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs. Gledholt Mews and Coach House is our enhanced community residential service for adults with mental health needs, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.
Both services are nurse‑led and supported by a multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) that includes consultant psychologist, psychology assistant, senior occupational therapist, junior occupational therapist, occupational therapy assistant, activity coordinators, nurses and speech and language therapist. The team works collaboratively to support residents’ safety and independence.
We have a unique care plan pathway called the Visual Discharge Plan (VDP), a collaborative process involving the individual, their families and the MDT, ensuring the person is at the heart of care and discharge planning begins at admission.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the Occupational Therapy pathway at Gledholt Mews and Coach House.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ safety, independence and complex needs.
* Participate in the development and implementation of evidence‑based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.
* Provide induction, service line training and ongoing peer support within your specialty area.
* Contribute to service model development and use your expertise to support the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum: Qualified Occupational Therapist at Band 5 level, with experience in residential community settings preferred. Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check and reference check.
