About the Role
Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Birkenhead. This is a full-time position supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a mainstream setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and support staff to deliver tailored learning to pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
2. Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
3. Work with small groups and individual pupils within the classroom
4. Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
5. Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
6. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
9. Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies
10. Excellent behaviour management skills
11. A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
12. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
