A market-leading FMCG business requires a Production Planning Team Leader to lead site planning, scheduling, and team delivery activities. Applicants need strong planning experience gained within a production, manufacturing, food, or FMCG environment, with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver against demanding schedules.
The Production Planning Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating and delivering production activities across. The role would suit a hands‑on and organized planning professional, who can combine planning, labour management, and leadership to drive performance in a fast‑paced environment.
Specific duties of the Production Planning Team Leader include:
* Generate, manage, and deliver daily and weekly production plans
* Lead labour planning and forecasting to optimise efficiency and resource allocation
* Track production plan progress and adjust plans to ensure on time, in full delivery
* Lead, coach, and develop production teams including training, absence, and performance management
* Drive continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance output
* Coordination with internal teams
Production Planning Team Leader applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Production planning, scheduling, or operations experience
* Strong understanding of labour planning, production control, and cost awareness
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills
* Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / 5S experience beneficial)
