Office Manager – About our client:
Our client is a well-established and growing business with a modern, recently renovated office environment in Stevenage. This is a key role within the organisation, supporting senior stakeholders and ensuring the smooth running of the office day-to-day.
Office Manager – Details:
1. Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (office based)
2. 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (rising with service)

Office Manager – Responsibilities:
7. Act as first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring a professional welcome
8. Greet guests promptly and provide refreshments on arrival
9. Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented office environment at all times
10. Manage office supplies including stationery, refreshments and cleaning products
11. Oversee incoming post and parcel distribution
12. Coordinate office contractors, renewals and servicing (e.g. cleaning, fire alarm, coffee machine)
13. Ensure meeting rooms are prepared, tidy and fully set up for use
14. Support diary management, meeting scheduling and internal note-taking
15. Book travel and accommodation for staff as required
16. Provide HR administrative support including onboarding coordination
17. Liaise with HR to ensure new starters have equipment, access and materials ready
18. Support health & safety coordination including PAT testing and desk assessments
19. Manage senior leadership expenses, including receipt collation and uploads
20. Assist with organising events, socials and office activities
21. Ensure all office equipment is maintained and functioning correctly
22. Organise outgoing parcels and deliveries
23. Maintain confidentiality at all times and adhere to company policies
Skills & Experience:
24. Previous experience in an office administration, office management, EA/PA or similar role
25. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
26. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
27. Confident communicator at all levels, including senior stakeholders and visitors
28. Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable
29. Comfortable taking ownership of a varied workload and working independently
30. Experience supporting HR administration or facilities coordination advantageous
31. IT literate, with experience using systems for expenses, scheduling or admin tasks
