GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher to join a welcoming school in the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield. This offers the opportunity to inspire young learners and foster understanding of world religions and moral issues.
Role Overview:
As an RE Teacher, you will deliver lessons across Key Stages, encouraging pupils to develop critical thinking, empathy, and cultural awareness through the study of religion, philosophy, and ethics.
Responsibilities as an RE Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
* Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support achievement.
* Promote respectful discussion and inquiry into different faiths and ethical perspectives.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop the RE curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and effective classroom management.
Requirements for RE Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
* Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject is desirable.
* Experience teaching RE at school level.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
