Duties include managing staff rotas, absences, salary returns, training, inductions, appraisals, and acting as the first point of contact for operational queries while maintaining clear communication with staff.
The role also involves overseeing operational tasks such as waste and linen disposal in line with legislation, organising furniture moves, completing risk assessments, monitoring contracts, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring the timely transportation of goods, supplies, and medical records. In addition, the post holder manages stock control, including medical gases, and arranges servicing and maintenance for vehicles and equipment.
The IFM Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating computerised systems, completing audits, and addressing any identified shortfalls to support compliance and service standards. Flexibility is required to provide cover for other supervisors and work across varying shifts to maintain continuity of both domestic and porter services across the wider DCHS area.
