Seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team in an all-accessible mainstream primary school based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will support the Teacher in providing an outstanding education to an individual with specific physical and health needs who requires hoisting and personal care. Responsibilities: Work with the individual learner on a 2:1 basis, alongside a full-time member of staff, providing differentiated support and encouragement to meet their specific needs. Supporting with communication and language needs and providing 2:1 support as needed to assist in developing the child's communication, social, emotional, and behavioural skills. Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the child. Help to maintain accurate records and progress reports to inform ongoing planning and assessment. There is an element of personal care involved with this role, and so the right candidate must be equipped to provide the right support in this area. Requirements: CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant for SEN qualification, or equivalent.
