About the role
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialised Stockton pupil referral unit, starting January 2026 This vital focuses on supporting a student with SEMH needs. Working with students who have have SEMH difficulties requires exceptional patience, empathy, and specialised skills.

About the School/Organisation:
This will be in a care home or family hub in the area.
Assignment Details:
You will be working 2;1 with a SEMH Tutor and a LAC child.

As a successful SEND Teaching Assistant with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
* Hold a relevant Qualification in SEND or Teaching Assistant
* Have experience working with individuals with SEN
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Confident in your behaviour management skills
* Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
* Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one through Connex
* Team Teach trained- preferred
* Be able to show proof of work in the UK
