CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit focuses on delivering innovative technical solutions for government agencies. We build and operate complex, mission-critical systems to keep us safe and secure. We are seeking an experienced Automation Framework Engineer to join our team, guiding, assuring, and delivering integrated solutions in partnership with our clients. This role offers opportunities to work in an innovative and rewarding environment with strong development support. Candidates should ideally meet most of the criteria, even if not all.
Due to the secure nature of the project, applicants must be UK nationals (not dual nationals or holding visas) and possess HMG HLC clearance. The role may be office-based or remote but requires onsite attendance in Gloucester.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
As an Automation Framework Engineer, you will create and maintain automation environments that enable our clients to validate applications and services, supporting infrastructure projects. Your work will help clients focus on complex problems, increasing their speed to market.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
* Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and environments.
* Collaborate with testers to ensure scripts run correctly and results are integrated into dashboards.
* Participate in agile ceremonies like team meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
* Engage in knowledge sharing sessions with team members, partners, and clients.
Additional technical requirements include:
* Experience deploying virtualized workloads with L3/L4 networking.
* Proficiency with configuration and automation tools such as Robot Framework, Go, vCenter Networks.
* Experience with RedHat or CentOS Linux (System Admin, Bash) and Windows (System Admin, PowerShell).
* Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
Desired competencies include cloud infrastructure experience (e.g., AWS), understanding of software and infrastructure testing, test management tools (e.g., TestRail, X-Ray), and creating dashboards with Splunk or ELK stack.
