Maintenance Worker (Mechanical) Band 4
1. Carry out multi-skilled engineering tasks primarily related to mechanical work, including gas systems, refrigeration, electrical, drainage, and basic building maintenance within Trust premises.
2. Work as part of the Estates Department team to support the provision of reliable, high-quality, customer-oriented services that maintain a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
3. Exposed to occupational hazards related to various engineering elements.
4. Ensure all tools and equipment are used responsibly and conscientiously, especially in Mental Health units, where allowances must be made for clients' conditions, demonstrating kindness, patience, and a calm, sympathetic approach when dealing with challenging situations.
5. Attend a recognised plumbing training course and maintain an up-to-date training matrix to meet the job requirements.
6. Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
7. Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible to apply.
