Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Design & Technical Engineer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical design and engineering principles, with the ability to create innovative solutions for complex projects.
The successsful candidate will have a HNC/D or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or can demonstrate relevant experience. You will have proven experience working with suppliers and manufacturers to develop, improve and transfer printed circuit board assemblies, wiring looms and electromechanical assemblies. You will have a broad electronics background with a bias towards manufacturing. You will be able to interpret electronic circuits to determine the suitability of alternative components and suggest improvements.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
1. To review and develop customer proposals
2. Liaise with customers and design partners to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
3. PIC software programming capability useful-if not then ability to detail required logic for subcontract suppliers.
4. Offer technical support for components.
5. Offer technical support for in-house manufacturing.
6. Liaise with customers on technical issues.
7. Produce in house test sets when required for production.
8. Give technical support to test department.
9. Provide help/guidance in test when required.
10. Liaise with ISO audit.
11. Produce technical files where appropriate.
12. Maintain electronic production BOM’s and manufacturing build information as required.
13. Provide design support in an electrical loom department.
14. Knowledge of PLC programming useful.
15. A comprehensive experience in an engineering environment essential.
16. Time management skills.
17. Good communication skills.
18. Autocad or similar design program experience essential.
19. Computer literate to use current computer applications, word processing, spreadsheet, email applications and a knowledge of MRP packages would be useful.
20. A team player but with initiative to make own decisions and work with minimum supervision.
21. Excellent problem solving with an analytical approach.
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm Friday 8am to 1.30pm = 37.5 hrs a week
Training can be given for the right candidate with an Electical/Electronic qualifications and background in the UK.
Hourly Rate : £13.60 ( can be negotiated depending on experience)
