Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days on-site
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our high-quality 2–3 bed children’s homes in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate leader to play a key role in delivering exceptional care to vulnerable young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a staff team of 8–10, ensuring high standards of care and compliance within a therapeutic 2–3 bed children’s residential home.
* Manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets all Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
* Oversee and contribute to care planning, assessments, and progress monitoring.
* Lead on quality assurance, inspections, and maintaining accurate records.
* Attend weekly meetings at Head Office in Aylesbury and participate in training and support visits to other regional homes.
* Be part of the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support to staff as required.
* Contribute to policy development and continuous service improvement.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with children, families, external agencies, and professionals.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a residential children’s care setting, with leadership responsibilities.
* Must hold or be actively working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (verified evidence required).
* Demonstrable experience in care planning, safeguarding, quality assurance, Ofsted compliance, and policy development.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (mileage reimbursed at £0.45 per mile).
* Ability to be part of the on-call rota.
* Strong communication, organisational, and team leadership skills.
