Job Type: Darlington (PA's)
A 52 year old autistic gentleman with fluctuating mobility issues, ADHD and seizures is looking for a supportive and patient assistant. He has become isolated and wishes to regain independence.
Hours of Support
This role is 15 hours a week, in 3 hour slots over a 5 day period, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is possible.
Rate of Pay
£12.71 / hour
Responsibilities
* Domestic support to keep the home clean and tidy.
* Assist with accessing community and shopping (including transportation support).
* Help with dressing (e.g., putting on socks and shoes).
* Meal preparation support and task tracking.
Essential Requirements
* Understanding, patient, good listener, able to give time to explain.
* Knowledge of autism helpful but not essential.
* Vehicle access and driving desirable but not essential; public transport used with support.
* Must be comfortable working with a support dog.
