About the Role
This is a full-time Science Teacher position starting ASAP. The role involves delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 involvement for the right candidate.This position is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, allowing you to establish deep roots within a vibrant, multi-cultural secondary setting.

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
* Strong references covering the last two years of employment.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and execute Science lessons that stimulate intellectual curiosity.
* Assessment & Feedback: Provide regular, constructive verbal and written feedback to guide student progress.
* Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design of an ambitious Science curriculum that revisits key concepts.
* Manage Misconceptions: Use tasks to identify and address student misunderstandings immediately.
* Behaviour Management: Maintain high expectations of behaviour using the school's established rewards and sanctions.
* Technology Integration: Utilise digital tools to enhance learning and accessibility.
* Data Analysis: Monitor student attainment data to identify and close learning gaps.
* Safeguarding: Actively promote the welfare and safety of all students in accordance with school policy.
* Parental Liaison: Communicate effectively with families regarding student achievement and well-being.
* Extracurricular Support: Contribute to the academy's enrichment program, such as STEM or ICT clubs.
