This role leads the data migration and reporting infrastructure for the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, a major digital change project.
The successful candidate will co‑lead a technical team, collaborate with the EPR supplier to deliver a smooth migration, and spearhead the design and implementation of a new reporting warehouse, ensuring data integrity and alignment with NHS guidance.
Responsibilities
* Co‑lead the technical team and manage the migration from planning to cut‑over, working closely with the supplier.
* Plan, document, and execute testing and validation through trial loads, user acceptance testing, and cut‑over activities.
* Maintain pre‑migration data mapping, cleaning, consolidation, and ongoing data quality monitoring.
* Design and build a reporting warehouse based on the supplier data model, in collaboration with data modellers, report developers, testers, and solutions architects.
* Identify, quantify, and resolve technical issues, maintain a risk and issue register, and produce test reports and technical documentation.
* Manage line staff: supervise, appraise, recruit, and develop team members, facilitating staff motivation and professional growth.
* Ensure compliance with NHS information strategy, data protection regulations, and Trust policies.
* Participate in clinical safety hazard workshops and highlight potential data‑quality and accessibility impacts.
* Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders internal and external to the Trust.
* Develop and maintain detailed work plans, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations are aligned with the overall Programme.
