What you will do:Manage a varied caseload of safeguarding cases, including Children in Need CIN and Child ProtectionUndertake thorough child and family assessments and develop effective care and protection plansIdentify and manage risks to ensure timely and appropriate safeguarding interventionsParticipate actively in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groupsPrepare comprehensive reports and documentation for court proceedings and statutory meetings
Person specification:Qualifications:You should hold a degree or an equivalent qualification in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England. A current enhanced DBS and the right to work in the UK are essential.
Key Skills:Proficient in safeguarding and risk assessmentKnowledgeable about child protection legislation and frameworksExcellent at communication and report writingAble to manage complex cases and work effectively under pressureStrong organisational and case management abilitiesAdept at working in a multi-agency safeguarding environment
Experience:You will have post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care and have worked within a Safeguarding or Child Protection Team. You should be experienced in managing complex safeguarding cases and have a history of effective multi-agency partnership working.
