Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Location: Fareham, Hampshire Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent We are seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join an innovative team. You will play a key role in researching, developing, and designing new products and solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality, efficient products that meet both customer and industry requirements. Key Responsibilities Research, draft, and develop blueprints, plans, and technical drawings for new products. Create and test prototypes, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Collaborate with production, engineering, and creative teams on project development. Use CAD and other design software to create models and drawings. Identify and implement solutions to improve production efficiency and product performance. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all design projects. Liaise with manufacturing providers and other stakeholders. Supervise production processes and coordinate with other departments as needed.Person Specification Degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar design engineering role. Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
