Join Our Team as a Clinical Duty Shift Manager
We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Duty Shift Manager (CDSM) to join our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Operational Delivery Team. This is a key role responsible for real-time clinical resource management, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality service delivery across our IUC/111 network.

What you'll be doing
* Providing clinical advice and guidance to contact centre sites.
* Working closely with the non-clinical Duty Shift Manager to maintain safe patient services.
* Acting as a central point of contact for network operations during live service delivery.
* Monitoring real-time performance KPI data and reacting to demand appropriately.
* Completing management reports and clinical documentation throughout the shift.
* Managing escalation processes and communicating service triggers (OPEL framework).
* Overseeing staff adherence via workforce management tools.
* Conducting risk assessment of CAS and 111 clinical call-back queues.
* Managing clinician resources effectively, including patient consultations and safety functions.
* Supporting sites with meetings, audits, and training as operationally feasible.
* Leading Bronze-level responses during adverse incidents and supporting BCP/incident drills.
What we'll look for in you
Qualifications:
* NHS Pathways Licensed Advisor
* Current NMC or HCPC registration
Experience in:
* Live operational resource management
* Clinical management in IUC/111
* Major incident & resilience planning
* Real-time clinical service delivery
* Auditing and risk management
Skills:
* Calm, confident and effective decision-maker
* Strong communication skills
* Adaptable, resilient and comfortable with rapid change
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation abilities
* Able to work with multi-disciplinary teams
* Professional, clinically competent and reliable
