Reception Administrator (Tours & Exhibitions) Location: City Hall, Donegall Square, Belfast BT1 ⏰ Hours: 18.5 per week PAY: £13.47 per hour About the Role Prime Recruitment Services is recruiting a Reception Administrator (Tours & Exhibitions) on behalf of Belfast City Council. This is a public-facing role providing high-quality reception, visitor support, and administrative services within the City Hall Exhibition & Tours area. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, tourists, councillors, contractors and staff — helping ensure every visitor receives a warm and professional welcome. ✨ Key Responsibilities Front-of-House & Visitor Experience Meet & greet all visitors with the highest level of customer care Provide information on the exhibition, tours, City Hall and local attractions Handle general enquiries from the public, Members of Council and staff Assist visitors with special requirements Tickets, Retail & Bookings Operate ticketing, point-of-sale and booking systems ️ Process payments: cash, card, vouchers, deposits, refunds Manage headset issue/return, stock levels and functionality Promote merchandise and exhibition retail items Maintain tidy, presentable reception and exhibition areas Administration Assist with group bookings, enquiries, emails, and phone calls Record visitor numbers, passes and statistical/administrative information Support wider Civic HQ operations including general admin and reception cover Report faults, incidents and assist in emergency evacuations when required Essential Criteria You must have at least 1 year of experience in all of the following: ✅ Delivering excellent front-of-house or reception customer service (including dealing with tourists & difficult customers) ✅ Ticketing, cash handling, sales or merchandising experience ✅ Confident use of ICT systems – ideally booking and point-of-sale systems ⭐ Skills & Attributes Strong communication skills, verbal & written Excellent customer care and presentation Good organisational & workload planning abilities Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic Microsoft Office skills Awareness of health & safety responsibilities Working Pattern This role operates on a 3-week rota. Note: The start date (Monday 24th November) falls in Week 2 of the rota.
