This role will maintain and service our fleet Roadmaster Spray Injection Patching Units. Working in a small team you will be responsible for ensuring that all plant and vehicle are mechanically fit for purpose and well maintained. You will be required to work on customer sites nationwide diagnosing, servicing, and rectifying faults of the Roadmaster Patcher fleet as necessary and will be based in our workshop in Scunthorpe. You will be tasked with ensuring jobs are completed in a timely fashion so that machinery is down for as little time as possible. Main duties & responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance on a scheduled basis including 10-week inspections Test preparation and inspection Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics Repairs to the Roadmaster Spray Injection Patching equipment Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required Perform inspections and test mechanical units Diagnose faults and malfunctions Adjust, repair and/or replace machine parts and components Perform emergency callouts Be on-call occasionally to accept and direct out of hours Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to a high standard in a timely fashion Ensure that all servicing activity is correctly recorded and filed Mentor other employees Adhere to strict health and safety regulations Other ad-hoc duties as requested Person specification Essential requirements, skills, qualifications and experience Must hold a clean valid driving licence Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience working on Plant High degree of product and technical knowledge Strong diagnostics capabilities with good computer skills Strong working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components Have the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight Must be flexible and have the ability to travel and stay away overnight during the working week if needed Motivated team player Must have excellent trouble-shooting abilities Desirable requirements, skills, qualifications and experience A C/CE licence and CPC would be advantageous Relevant qualification desired but not essential (e.g. Construction Plant Fitter, HGV Mechanic)
