Job Title: Gluing Machine Minder Location: Aylesford, Kent Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 DOE (negotiable for the right candidate) Shifts: Rotating shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) About Our Client Our client is a well-established and respected retail packaging manufacturer based in Aylesford, Kent. With a workforce of over 100 staff across design, administration, and manufacturing departments, they serve a broad portfolio of global brands across the homewares, cosmetics, food & beverage, and home entertainment markets. The company is accredited with internationally recognised manufacturing, environmental, and quality certifications. Role Overview The successful applicant will have hands-on experience working with gluing machines and will be capable of producing high-quality output in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. This role operates on a rotational shift pattern and will include night shifts. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate gluing machines efficiently to meet production, safety, and quality targets Perform make-ready operations and run production in a timely manner Conduct routine machine maintenance and report technical issues where necessary Maintain accurate data entry on internal business systems Carry out quality checks in line with company standards Ensure the workspace, machines, tooling, and equipment are kept clean and safe Assist with training and mentoring Gluing Apprentices and Assistants Prepare materials using appropriate equipment Report stock needs and ensure consumables are managed Comply with all internal business management systems and certification requirements Perform additional duties as instructed by the management team Required Skills & Experience Experience operating gluing machines such as Diana, Omega, and Starfold Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Comfortable working to deadlines in a high-pressure environment Strong attention to detail and quality standards Good interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills A proactive and enthusiastic attitude toward continuous learning Previous experience in the packaging sector is desirable Methodical, logical, and well-organised work approach Benefits Competitive salary based on experience 25 days annual leave 8 statutory bank holidays 20% night shift premium 15% evening shift premium (6pm-10pm) Overtime paid at 1.5x standard hourly rate Company workplace pension Onsite parking Long service awards Death in service benefit Salary benefits package including: Car salary sacrifice scheme Cycle to work scheme Employee discount platform Annual health assessments Recruitment referral programme If you're an experienced Gluing Minder looking to join a forward-thinking and growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
