We are seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher to join their team from September, on a part-time basis. About the Setting: This unique provision offers tailored placements for students who face challenges in mainstream education. The setting specialises in supporting learners with anxiety-related conditions, often linked to autism, ADHD, trauma, or persistent school refusal due to generalised anxiety — many of which have been enhanced since the Covid-19 lockdown. About the Role: Deliver GCSE English to a small group of 5 Key Stage 5 students Lead on the English subject across the provision Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons in a calm, therapeutic learning environment Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ SEMH needs Commitment to working Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30am–2:30pmThe Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential Experience teaching GCSE English, ideally within an alternative or SEMH provision Confident leading on subject delivery and curriculum planning Strong understanding of how to support learners with anxiety, autism, ADHD, or trauma Patient, nurturing, and adaptable in your teaching approach Must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through Smile EducationWhy Join This Provision?
