The Opportunity
Dechra is an international veterinary pharmaceutical company specializing in high-quality products for veterinarians globally. The Technical Services Veterinarian (TSV) provides medical support to customers, helping them optimize animal health outcomes with our companion animal products. TSVs educate veterinary professionals on the practical application of our innovative products and share best practices.
Role Responsibilities
* Accompany Dechra field personnel on clinic calls and deliver educational presentations as needed.
* Present technical seminars at veterinary meetings or schools to support Dechra’s product line.
* Attend veterinary conventions and meetings to provide technical support and attend key lectures.
* Assist in developing and presenting sales training to Dechra staff.
* Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and collaborate on initiatives.
* Maintain technical competency in fields related to Dechra and competitor products.
* Monitor veterinary literature and VIN for articles related to Dechra products and activities.
* Contribute to the creation of promotional materials, review for accuracy and compliance.
* Create technical marketing materials to educate customers on disease conditions and product use.
* Act as backup for PV Veterinarian by conducting adverse event and technical inquiry consultations, documenting all interactions.
* Represent Dechra positively to the veterinary community and adhere to regulatory standards.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bilingual (English/French) DVM/VMD with 3-5 years of clinical experience; current license in at least one province preferred.
* Strong knowledge of or expertise in companion animal internal medicine.
* Ability to multi-task and work on various projects including technical, marketing, and training materials.
* Critical evaluation skills for technical materials and literature.
* Passion for excellent customer service.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and judgment skills.
* Team-oriented and able to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Veterinary pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
* Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
Candidat idéal
* DVM/DVM bilingue (anglais/français) avec 3-5 ans d'expérience clinique, permis en vigueur dans une province préféré.
* Bonne connaissance en médecine interne des animaux de compagnie.
* Capacité à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément, y compris bulletins techniques, marketing, présentations PowerPoint, formations, et analyses de marché.
* Compétences critiques pour évaluer et ajuster la documentation technique.
* Capacité à assimiler et examiner la littérature scientifique.
* Dévouement à fournir un service client exceptionnel.
* Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et analytiques.
* Autonomie et capacité à travailler en équipe.
* Compétences solides en communication.
* Capacité à évoluer dans un environnement dynamique et rapide.
* Maîtrise de MS Office.
* Expérience dans l'industrie pharmaceutique vétérinaire est un atout.
* Disponibilité pour voyager en moyenne 50% du temps.
