Speech & Language Therapist – Specialist School (Term-Time Only)

Compass Associates are working in partnership with a specialist school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and additional needs to recruit a Speech & Language Therapist. This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to play a key part in shaping and developing a high-quality SALT provision within the school.
You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team within a specialist ASC education setting, supporting children and young people with ASC and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering a mix of 1:1 and small group interventions
* Supporting EHCP processes, including annual reviews and report writing
* Completing baseline assessments for new and transitioning students
* Delivering staff training and providing classroom-based support
* Upskilling support staff to carry out interventions
* Contributing to whole-school communication strategies
* Working collaboratively within weekly MDT meetings
* Supporting the ongoing development of the SaLT provision as the school grows
The Team:
* Multidisciplinary team including Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and pastoral staff
* Regular MDT meetings for collaboration and shared planning

Requirements:
* HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
* Experience working with children and young people with ASC and SEMH
* Background in school-based or blended settings (e.g. education/NHS/private)
* Confident in independent report writing, including EHCPs
Interview Process:
* 1st stage: Informal chat via Teams
* 2nd stage: Formal interview and task at the school
